COLTS III
This page contains information regarding Cornell's Online Time-collection System (COLTS). The COLTS III system was designed to include users of Mac and Vista as version II did not work properly for these users. COLTS III is to be used by:
- In/Out times worked
- Leave time (holiday, sick, vacation, etc.)
- Prior period corrections
- Timecard approval
- Leave balance review
- Timecard review
- Prior period corrections
- Mass approval of timecards
All timecards must be approved by the employee, the employee's supervisor, and the employee's payroll representative (pay rep) prior to submission to the Payroll Office. COLTS III can be used in conjunction with the KRONOS time collection system by multiple job employees.
COLTS III is a Web-based application that requires Kerberos authentication, thus users must be logged in with their Kerberos NetID and password. It is important employees remember to close their timecard, log out of Kerberos (exit the key), and close all open browser windows on a shared computer. If a user does not complete the Kerberos logging off process, the next user to access the COLTS Web site will view the previous user's timecard and will be permitted to make changes.
Supervisors and pay reps must still access COLTS II to assign group supervisors and make changes to the general ledger (GL) accounts that are charged during a specific pay period. In accordance with university policy, no changes can be made to 4742 or 4743 object codes, and no hours can be charged across endowed and contract college accounts.
